Yesterday was a beautiful Spring day here in Idaho. After we worked up a sweat in the yard for most of the day, I brought out the leftover egg dye. We had used a simple mixture of food coloring, vinegar and water. For the Leftover Fun, I added a plastic container with some baking soda sprinkled in it and two plastic pipettes (like eye droppers).
The boys had a wonderful time exploring the mini-volcanoes and colors as they precisely conducted their "experiments."
The Lord has blessed our children with curiosity about the natural world. What kitchen leftovers could you spare for a bit of spring science this week?
